Chancellor's Residence, Sara H. Bissell House

Chancellor and Mrs. Dubois and their family were the first occupants of Sara H. Bissell House, the Chancellor's official campus residence. Bissell House, the first on-campus Chancellor’s Residence, was constructed in 2004 on the eve of Chancellor Woodward’s retirement and in anticipation of a new chancellor’s arrival. The house was named in honor of Sara H. Bissell, whose many contributions to the life of the University have included service on the Board of Trustees and the design and decoration of the Chancellor’s official residences, including Bissell House and Chancellor Woodward’s former residence in south Charlotte.
