Teross Young leads government affairs for Delhaize’s Food Lion, LLC, and Hannaford supermarkets. He monitors, analyzes, and communicates federal, state, and local public policy issues that affect Delhaize America's operations, business performance, competitive position, and business strategy.
Young also represents Delhaize America in a number of national and state retail and food industry associations. He serves on the boards of directors of the Georgia Food Industry Council, the Maine Chamber, the North Carolina Business Committee for Education, the North Carolina Retail Merchants Association, the South Carolina Retail Association, and the Virginia Retail Merchants Association. Young also serves on the board of directors of the Lion’s Share Federal Credit Union, a full-service financial cooperative established in 1982 to serve the employees and retirees of Delhaize America, along with their family members.
Additionally, Young is active in public service and was elected to serve as mayor of the Town of Troutman, North Carolina.
Young earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He, his wife, Renee, and their son, Tyler, reside in Troutman, N.C
