Administrative Liaison for University Governance

Melva joined the Chancellor’s Office in August 2017 as the Administrative Support Associate, assisting the Executive Assistant/Office Budget Coordinator with fulfilling business and fiscal functions and managing the front office. In June of 2019, she assumed her new role as the Administrative Liaison for University Governance. In her current position, she provides administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Chancellor’s Cabinet. She manages all meeting agendas and materials for both groups, works with staff to finalize agendas and presentations, manages logistics for meetings, and assists with special projects as needed.

Melva graduated from North Carolina State University in May 1989 with a degree in Business Management. She has extensive experience working in university settings and has served in managerial positions as well as customer service positions.
