Brett Keeter serves as District Director for United States Congressman Patrick McHenry, the Chief Deputy Majority Whip and Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services. In his official capacity, he serves as the chief district staff member and oversees the Congressman’s offices and manages outreach, constituent casework, and community and constituent relations in the eight counties of North Carolina’s Tenth Congressional District. He also serves as primary liaison to city, county and state officials, agencies, chambers of commerce, community boards and task forces for the Congressman.
Brett is a 1999 cum laude graduate of the UNC Charlotte with a BA in Political Science and a minor in History. He was the 2012–13 President of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association and served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for ten years.
From 2013–17, Brett served as a member of the Gaston College Board of Trustees. He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Gaston County Public Library, a member of the Board of Advisors for the Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Governmental Relations Committees for the Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland County Chambers of Commerce.
He is a 2016 recipient of the William Gaston Award, given by the Gaston County Commissioners for dedication and community service.
Brett resides in Gastonia with his wife, Madeline, a 2008 UNC Charlotte alum and the current President of the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association.
